Terms of Service
Effective
What changed
Expanded the initial terms to explain ordering, artwork rights, cancellations, responsibilities, and dispute resolution. Added the Bellevue mailing address for contact and notices.
Version 3
Acceptance
These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Mini Makers, LLC for using minimakers.ai and ordering our custom creations. Read them with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds page, available in every footer. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not place an order. Keep a copy of these terms and your order confirmation. We provide custom design services, digital kits, and physical brick sets; your order identifies which you are buying.
Eligibility: age 18 and over
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to create an account or buy from us. If you act for a company or another organization, you confirm that you have permission to commit it to the order and to supply its artwork. An adult must place and manage an order intended as a child's gift. Small pieces can be a choking hazard; keep them away from children under three and follow the product's building and supervision guidance.
Accounts
Give us accurate contact and delivery details, verify your email, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us promptly if someone else gains access; you can reset your password and sign out everywhere through your account. We may restrict access that threatens other people, our systems, or another person's rights. Restricting an account does not remove an earned refund or another right the law protects. Please keep your email current so order notices reach you.
Orders, deposits, balance, and revision fees
Your brief tells us what to make. The order flow shows the current tier, quantity, fulfillment choice, deposit, balance, any revision fee, applicable tax, shipping charges, and payment terms before you agree to pay. Prices and delivery ranges come from the current quote, not a fixed promise in these terms. A saved brief alone is not a paid order. We confirm receipt after the deposit is paid or an operator records an agreed offline payment. Contact us if your receipt does not match what you approved.
We use AI tools and human review to create your preview. You review the creation and request any included changes before approving it. Extra revisions require the fee shown before that work begins; we do not silently add a charge. Approval confirms the displayed design, including its colors, wording, and layout. Brick shapes and screen displays can limit exact color or image reproduction. We collect the remaining balance through the payment request or invoice for your order. Team invoices state their due date, payment methods, and any purchase order reference.
We order physical pieces after payment and operator approval. Delivery estimates depend on the current supply of pieces and shipping information. If a delay changes the promise, we contact you with the updated information and available choices. We will ask before a material design substitution or price change. If we cannot accept or complete an order, we explain what happened and provide the refund required for the unprovided goods or services and by applicable law. Our voluntary cancellation schedule does not excuse our own failure to deliver.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation and refunds: before design work starts, everything paid is refunded; once design has started the deposit is kept; the balance is refunded in full until parts are ordered, 50% after parts are ordered, and not at all after shipment. Refunds are prepared by the agent and approved by the operator.
The Returns & Refunds page states the same cancellation schedule and explains how to ask for help. Your order timeline records the work and fulfillment milestones used to calculate a cancellation refund. Open cancellation from your commission or email us with your order reference. The confirmation shows the proposed refund before you cancel. A cancellation request and an issued refund are separate events; we notify you when the operator has approved and issued the refund. Mandatory consumer rights still apply.
Custom products are non-returnable
Returns: physical sets are custom and non-returnable; defects (missing or wrong parts, damaged box) are replaced free within 30 days of delivery with a photo. Digital kits are non-refundable after download.
Changing your mind about an approved custom design does not make it defective. If pieces are missing or wrong, or the box arrives damaged, use the claim route in your order or contact us. Include a photo and the affected piece identifiers from the instructions when available. We arrange the covered replacement without charging you. The Returns & Refunds page explains the claim procedure and resolution period. It does not limit remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your artwork license and warranty of rights
You keep your rights in the artwork, logos, photos, names, and text you submit. You give us a limited, nonexclusive license to copy, process, adapt, and share that material with the service providers needed to design, preview, manufacture, and deliver your creation. That includes sending the necessary artwork and brief to our AI design provider. The license is for fulfilling your request and related support; it does not give us permission to advertise with your artwork or sell your brand to others.
You promise that you own the material or have all permissions needed for those uses, including permission from anyone whose protected likeness or private information you provide. Do not submit third-party entertainment characters, protected logos, or other work you have no right to use. Tell us about restrictions before work starts. We may ask for evidence of permission or decline material we reasonably believe infringes rights. Buying a custom set does not create a license from a third-party rights holder.
Our ownership of designs and instructions
Mini Makers, LLC keeps the rights it holds in its original design work, instruction layouts, website, and branding, subject to your underlying artwork rights and any third-party rights. Payment does not transfer copyright or promise exclusive ownership of AI-generated material. When you pay for a creation, we allow you and your intended recipients to use the supplied instructions to build, display, and enjoy the purchased creation. Team buyers may distribute the purchased sets and their instructions to the intended team. Reselling our digital files or publishing the instructions for others to download requires our written permission.
Trademark disclaimer and non-affiliation
LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site.
Mini Makers, LLC is the maker of the design. Our physical creations use genuine LEGO® bricks, but they are independent custom products. The brick manufacturer does not review, approve, or provide customer support for our designs or instructions. Brand names on customer artwork identify that artwork and do not imply a partnership with us. Our Trademark disclaimer page provides more detail.
Gallery and testimonial consent
Ordering does not give us marketing permission. We publish a creation in the gallery only with recorded customer consent and operator approval. Sharing a testimonial or photo also requires consent before publication. You may contact us to withdraw permission for future use and removal from channels we control. Copies already printed, shared, or cached elsewhere may remain. A gift message appears on the story card and its linked creation page only when the giver allows it; treat that link as shareable with anyone who receives it.
Prohibited uses
Do not use the site to break the law, infringe rights, harass people, submit another person's private material without permission, or create deceptive claims of affiliation. Do not upload malware, try to access another customer's account or files, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, or use payment methods without authorization. Do not use a creation as safety equipment or for a purpose requiring certified structural performance. We may stop prohibited activity and investigate it while preserving any rights you have under applicable law.
Warranty disclaimer
We stand behind the express promises in your order and our free defect replacement policy. Beyond those promises, and only where the law allows, the website and custom design service are provided as available without additional implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access or exact reproduction of every image in bricks. No sentence here excludes a warranty, statutory guarantee, or remedy that the law says cannot be excluded. Contact us if the delivered creation does not match the agreed order.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or business opportunities, arising from use of the site or an order. Our total liability for a claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where that limit is unlawful. These limits do not restrict required refunds, our express replacement promises, liability for fraud or willful misconduct, or liability for personal injury or other matters that cannot legally be limited. Consumer protections take priority over conflicting wording here.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses, damages, and legal costs from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful use of the service or a breach of your promise that you have the rights to submitted material. This does not cover claims caused by our own wrongdoing. We will promptly tell you about a claim, give you a reasonable chance to assist with its defense, and will not agree to a settlement that imposes duties on you without your consent.
Governing law and venue
Washington law governs these terms, without applying rules that would select another state's law. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections or right to bring a claim elsewhere, disputes may be brought in the state courts in King County, Washington, or the federal court serving King County. You and we accept those courts' authority where this venue agreement is lawful. Nothing here takes away a protection that your home state's law requires us to provide.
Dispute resolution
Please first contact hello@minimakers.ai with the order reference, what went wrong, and the outcome you seek so we can try to resolve a dispute directly. That request does not delay a legal filing deadline or require you to give up a claim. If direct discussion does not resolve it, either side may pursue the remedies available in court, including an eligible small-claims case. These terms do not require private arbitration or waive your right to participate in a class action where permitted by law.
Changes
We show an effective date, version, and what changed note when we publish revised terms. Material changes will receive notice through the site or your account email before they apply to future orders. A later revision does not silently change an order already accepted; we will ask for agreement if a change to that order is needed. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect to the extent the law permits. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
